there just never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done that I need/want to. I am so having a hard time juggling household, kids, hubby and my new business venture, I'm just hoping that eventually it will all fall into place some how?! Until that magical moment arrives, I see alot of late nights in my future ~ love the quiet time, but the mornings are a little rough.
Fat lip and scab totally gone, we used this miracle lip stuff - lysine - (thanks mom!), and I'm telling you the stuff has some major healing junk in it, I'm thinking maybe putting this on every scrape or cut from now on!
Gearing up for thanksgiving and some serious family time and trying to get Etsy filled with some new stuff, hoping others will be doing their shopping from home as I will be on black friday.
Office mascot ... always trying to help with photos ~

Wishing I could Take the Pain Away
We've had our first fat lip at our house recently, I had to go pick up my baby from kinergarten on tuesday, she did a face plant into the rocks and literally landed on her mouth. It's the biggest fat lip I have ever seen, I kept her home wed because she didn't want the kids to laugh at her and we iced it all day, however this morning she said it was an acceptable size for her to return to school - lol, but once we got there her nerves got the best of her. Of course all the kids wanted to see her and wanted to know what happend and some couldn't quit staring, so after getting all of this unwanted attention she shut down ~ I hope she can make it through the day without breaking down!
On the business front I have some more to get listed in my etsy store today, my mom also showed up with a big box of buttons and vintage rhinestone pins that she found on her trip to Iowa - I've got alot planned. I'll post some sneek peaks later.

the waiting came to an end!!!
Not 1 but 2 sales - ok it was from the same person, but it still counts right? I'll take it! I have to say I'm having to much fun designing my blog and reading new blogs, time consuming, but it's been inspiring to "meet" new people today and find new blogs, I could spend all day doing this, but alas I should get some more creating done.
Still waiting on that first sale .......
I know this can take awhile - I've visited the forums enough for the last year to know that I'm not the only one just waiting for things to happen, so I'm looking into some advertising on other blogs for my store hoping this might move things along, keeping fingers crossed! In the meen time I have some more jewelry I'm working on and more resin collage pendants to get going, I'm having alot of fun with these - it took me forever to finally try it, I was so afraid of it not working or turning out that I just kept stalling and stalling, until finally after a good pep talk I just did it- and it worked!
Here's some pics of the family ~

My Very First Blog Post
Ok so I'm a little slow on jumping on this whole blogging thing, I just didn't feel comfortable putting myself out "here" until recently ~ I've taken the plunge on many new things recently so now seems like good as time as any! So a little about me ~
My name is Jen I've been with my best friend Matt for 10 years now (married for 6), we have a daughter savanna who is 5 and a son Gage who is 6 months and my studio mascot "Koala" (he's a cat). We live in Wyoming where the winters can be long and the wind seems to be blowing at all times - actually it's not that bad, people are pretty friendly around here and the air is nice and clean.
I've had a variety of different professions, from working at a big box store, managing a bar and restaurant to doing accounting for an airline, but once I had my babies I really wanted to be the one raising them during the day. That led to selling clothing on ebay fulltime ~ this went on for about 2 years and then one thing led to another - I discovered the world of altered art and mixed media and dabbled in that for awhile ~
I found my creative process again and my journey found me to making jewelry and using vintage pieces that may have been broken in some way to make other things out of them. I discovered Etsy and fell in love with the whole thing, I seen so many talented artists on there for many different things, it took me awhile before I felt "good enough" to share my stuff, but here I am making a go at it and hoping for positive results.
